VINTAGIO is a curated archive of hand-authenticated vintage designer bags, founded in the province of Verona with a clear mission: to make the finest pieces of pre-owned luxury accessible, with absolute certainty of authenticity and total transparency regarding their condition.
We are not a marketplace where anyone can sell. We are not a generic shop. We are specialists: every vintage luxury bag you find on vintagio.it has been personally purchased, held in our hands, verified with our 6-point authentication protocol, and photographed in natural light. If a bag does not convince us one hundred percent, it does not make it onto the site.
Our Story
VINTAGIO was born from a passion that became a profession: the best luxury bags are not always the new ones. A nineties Louis Vuitton Monogram, a Speedy that has already lived, a Chanel Classic Flap with just the right patina, a Hermès Birkin that has passed through hands that knew how to appreciate it — these possess a quality of craftsmanship, materials, and character that today costs much more in boutiques, and which time, if the piece has been cared for, does not diminish but enhances.
We started by selecting a few pieces, studying every fashion house, and building a network of trusted suppliers among private collectors, European auctions, and industry professionals. Today, our archive includes over 240 designer bags from ten of the world’s most important luxury houses, with new arrivals every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
How We Work
Strict Selection
We select pieces from private collectors, auctions, and European suppliers with whom we have collaborated for a long time. We do not buy blindly and we do not purchase undifferentiated stock: every bag is chosen for quality, condition, model, and potential. The catalog grows slowly and by design — when a piece is sold, it disappears and does not return.
Hand Authentication
Every bag passes through our 6-point authenticity check: materials, stitching, hardware, logos, serial codes, and internal construction. The complete process is documented on the Authenticity page. If we do not pass every point, the piece is not put up for sale.
Real Photography
We photograph every bag individually, with natural light and without retouching. The images you see are of the bag you will receive — not brand stock photos. If a piece has signs of use, we photograph them and describe them honestly. We prefer a customer who knows what they are buying over an extra sale.
